Diversity Bingo
All Bosselman Team Members are encouraged to participate in a virtual diversity bingo game during the DE&I Week (April 15 – April 19), for chances to win exciting prizes. Bingo cards and instructions for gameplay will be distributed to everyone via email on Monday, April 15, 2024, at 8 CST.

Young Professionals Workshop: Take Yourself to the Next Level
Are you trying to set yourself apart within your team and location? You’re invited to the Young Professional Group’s (YPG) Workshop: Take Yourself to the Next Level. Hear other team members at Bosselman share their tips and experiences on how to make meaningful impact, grow in your role, and get noticed by leaders. We’ll discuss topics like taking initiative in your role, understanding the internal promotions process, and how to act as a leader (even if you aren’t a manager). Come join the discussion to learn a little bit and share your own ideas.

Community Building through Storytelling
This is a two-part event. The first part will feature Carlos R. Serván, a passionate, motivational speaker, author, and international disability rights advocate, known for his fascinating life story. This will be followed by a presentation on the Elevate Grand Island program by Joseline Reina. This program offers a hands-on learning experience aimed at empowering and informing the New American leadership of Grand Island, NE. Lunch and light refreshments will be provided.
Location: Hybrid event at The Venue (former Community Room) at Bosselman Corporate Office and virtually via Teams.

Identity and Intersectionality for Women in the Workplace

Join us for an insightful virtual event hosted by the Women’s Resource Group in exploring the complexities of women’s identities in the workplace. The event features guest speaker Amy Bennett, Executive Director YWCA Grand Island.

Diversity and Inclusion Activity: Name Story
This activity can be initiated and organized by each location or department manager on this day or at any time during DE&I Week. In this activity, Team Members can share their first name, middle name, last name, nickname, or any name with a history or story such as the name of a pet or nickname given to a friend or family member. They might consider the significance of the name, where the name comes from, or what particular meaning the name has for them.
Activity Goals:
- To help build community by having team members share a name that has particular significance for them.
- To give a sense of the variety of cultures, identities, and histories that team members bring with them to the workplace.
Location: In-person activity at each location or department
